Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has bagged a contract worth Rs 2,569 crore from Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) for equipment supply.
BHEL will supply steam generators for the 2 x 500 MW thermal power project at Cuddalore in Tamil Nadu.
In September 2012, NLC had invited bids for steam generator and auxiliaries package for the project.
BHEL had earlier secured orders from NLC for 2 x 500 MW Tuticorin, 2 x 250 MW Neyveli, and 2 x 125 MW Barsingsar projects.
