Balaji Wafers is in the process of increasing the capacity of its plant in Rajkot, Gujarat.
The company is setting up two new production lines, which are expected to raise its production capacity by nearly 50 per cent.
The expansion, estimated to cost around Rs 100 crore, is likely to commence commercial production by July 2014. The fund for the capacity expansion is entirely through internal accruals.
The new production lines will manufacture wafers and other snacks. Balaji is also planning to launch new flavours in the market in the coming days.
