Bannari Amman Spinning Mills, a subsidiary of Bannari Amman Group, has inked an MoU with the government of Tamil Nadu for setting up a new textile unit in the state.
The project will come up near Dindigul, with an investment of Rs 250 crore. The textile unit will have a production capacity of 15,000 spindles. Bannari Amman Spinning Mills at present has a capacity of around 1.60 lakh spindles at Dindigul.
The mill caters to Tirupur, Kolkata, and Kanpur markets. It exports 24 per cent of the production to Israel, Mauritius, Egypt, Taiwan and South Korea.
