Bhagyanagar India has commissioned a solar power photovoltaic (PV) plant having a capacity of five MW at Munipally in Medak district of Andhra Pradesh.
The solar power photovoltaic plant has been set up with an investment of Rs 29 crore. The company has also tied up with Global Energy Power Trade in order to supply power to third parties.
With the commissioning of five MW solar power photovoltaic plant in Andhra Pradesh, executed by Surana Ventures, a group company, the total installed capacity of the company's solar power generation has gone up to 10 MW. The first five MW solar power photovoltaic project was commissioned in Gujarat.
Also, Bhagyanagar India is planning to set up two more solar power plants of five MW capacity each, in Andhra Pradesh.
The first power plant is expected to be commissioned in Medak district before February 2014. The second solar project of five MW relates to the Andhra Pradesh government's offer for developers to set up solar power plants in the state. This project will come up at Vikarabad with an investment of Rs 30 crore. AP Transco is the nodal agency for the project implementation.
