Bosch, the Bangalore-based flagship company of the Bosch Group of Germany, and supplier of technology and services to automotive OEMs, is likely to set up its new manufacturing plant at Bidadi in Karnataka.
The company is investing Rs 600 crore for development of its new facility. It has acquired 97 acre land in Bidadi, about 35 kms from Bangalore, from the Karnataka government, for the construction of the project, which will also house related support functions besides a manufacturing facility for a wide range of products.
This plant will be developed in two phases. Phase-I will be completed by 2015 and then construction in Phase-II will take place from 2015 to 2016. Production of inline pumps, elements, delivery valves, conventional and PF pumps will begin by the first quarter of 2017.
