Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), has approved the development of Kerala border-Kollegal section of NH 212 under National Highways Development Project, Phase-IV, in Karnataka state.
CCEA has given clearances for two / four laning with paved side shoulders (PSS) of the proposed road project of NHAI on BOT and DBFOT basis in Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) (Toll) mode of delivery.
The project, with 150 km total length, is estimated to cost Rs 588.49 crore. It will include the Rs 65 crore cost towards land acquisition, resettlement and rehabilitation and other pre-construction activities.
NH-212 connects Kozhikode in Kerala to Kollegal in Karnataka and passes through important towns of Gundlupet, Nanjangad, Mysore and T-Narsasipur in Karnataka.
