The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has granted approval for the expansion of five port projects.
These five projects involve an investment of Rs 17,630 crore and are at an advanced stage of tendering. These projects are expected to be awarded by the end of March 2014.
Following are the five port projects:

Container terminal at Ennore Port with expansion of 1.4 million twenty ft equivalent units capacity at a cost of Rs 127 crore

The multi-purpose cargo berth proposed for the Mumbai Port Trust will entail a capacity addition of 4.5 million tpa. The project will require an investment of Rs 696 crore

Fourth container terminal for Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT), which will have 4.8 million twenty ft equivalent units at a cost of Rs 7,915 crore

Expansion of diamond harbour container terminal project of Kolkata Port Trust (KoPT) with a capacity of 1.2 million twenty ft equivalent units and will entail an investment of Rs 1,758 crore

Expansion of mega container terminal of Tuna-Tekra-Kandla Port Trust (KPT), which will entail a capacity of 4.2 million twenty ft equivalent units at a cost of Rs 5,992 crore
