The Central Government has agreed to bear the entire cost of constructing 92 railway overbridges (ROBs) across Odisha, as per a request from the state government.

This decision, confirmed by the Ministry of Railways, marks a shift from the previous arrangement, where the cost was equally shared between the Centre and the State. The 92 ROBs will be spread across several districts, including 35 in Khurda, 21 in Ganjam, 13 in Jajpur, and 10 in Cuttack. The Chief Minister’s Office thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Ministry of Railways for their continued support, highlighting the significant impact on safety, connectivity, and infrastructure in Odisha.

The Chief Minister expressed appreciation for the Centre’s commitment to improving the state’s railway infrastructure through this initiative.
