Chennai Metro Rail has invited bids for Phase-II of the metro rail project in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
Bids have been invited for consultancy services for preparation of feasibility study report for Chennai Metro Rail Phase-II corridors.
Phase-II of the Chennai Metro Rail project is estimated to cost Rs 36,000 crore. The 76 km rail project comprises three corridors -- Madhavaram - Light House; Koyambedu - Injambakkam; Madhavaram - Perumbakkam. Recently, the company sought funds from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for Phase-II of the project.
The 45.1 km, Phase-I of Chennai Metro Rail entails an investment of 14,600 crore. It comprises two corridors.
