Maharashtra-based Cooper Corporation has inaugurated two units in Satara, Maharashtra, as part of its strategy for scaling up manufacturing capacity.
The first unit, located at K10-MIDC, will focus on enhancing Cooper’s foundry capabilities. It is equipped with modern, pollution-free, and fully automated systems, underlining Cooper’s commitment to producing high-quality parts. Boasting a substantial built-up area of 52,186 sq. ft., the facility has a monthly production capacity of 3,500 tonne.
The second unit, situated at E1-MIDC, is dedicated to aluminium high-pressure die casting. Spanning over 12,000 sq. ft., this unit will contribute an additional 500 tonne monthly to the overall production capacity. The facility also features essential quality assurance facilities such as auto gauging, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and a powder coating setup.
Engine component and generator manufacturer has invested in advanced technology, including a fanuc robodrill setup with CNC, VMC, and HMCs, ensuring precision and efficiency in the manufacturing processes. Both facilities combined will employ over 250 skilled personnel, further contributing to the growth of the local economy and job market.
