Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (DMICDC), is planning to set up a solar power project for the proposed Jodhpur-Pali-Marwar Industrial Area (JPMIA), in Rajasthan.
The company intends to set up the plant with 50 MW to meet part of the electricity requirements of its proposed JPMIA. The company has submitted its proposal for the plant to the Ministry of Environment & Forests (MoEF). It seeks terms of reference for undertaking environmental impact assessment studies on JPMIA.
JPMIA is being developed as a second node of the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor in the state and is spread over 70 sq km. Three alternative sites are being evaluated in the proposed corridor based on Techno-economic, social and environmental considerations. The first node in the state is Khushkhera- Bhiwadi-Neemrana.
