The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) has planned a multi-crore water supply project in Dindori.
The additional industrial estate is coming up at Talegaon and Akrale villages in Dindori, which is about 18 km from Nashik. This new project is proposed on 500 acre of land and will be completed by the end of December this year. From January next year, the plots will be allotted to the industries.
MIDC has already acquired 250 acre of land and the remaining are in the final stage of acquisition. It is planning to spend Rs 17 crore on the internal and approach roads, along with street lights, in the new industrial estate.
MIDC has received reservation of 84 million cu ft of water in the Palkhed dam, which is 16 km away from the new estate. The total water supply project cost is expected to be Rs 37 crore.
