The Expert Appraisal Committee (EAC) of the MoEF recommended environment clearance to Chhatrasal coal mine, which was allotted to Sasan Power, in Madhya Pradesh, but with some conditions.
The conditions given by the panel include:

Submission of a report on corporate social responsibility (CSR)

Resettlement and rehabilitation (RR) done so far by the company

Taking requisite clearances from other appropriate agencies

Implementation of assurances by the project proponent given during the public hearing
Sasan Power, a special purpose vehicle of Reliance Power, which is executing the Sasan ultra mega power project, was allotted the block having coal reserves of about 150 million tonne. The mine has a peak-rated capacity of five million tonne per annum.
