The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF) has accorded environmental clearance (EC) for upgradation of Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
The proposed project is being executed by Mumbai International Airport.
The project includes construction of vehicle underpass under runway 14-32, construction of Taxiway M and construction of a new ATC Tower in Kalina.
The project also involves completion of balance works approved in EC of 2007, including balance work of passenger terminals, work of cargo terminals, work of apron expansion, work of taxiway extension, and work of airport facilities.
The cost of the project is Rs 3,423. 55 crore.
No additional land acquisition is required as the proposed upgradation project will be undertaken within the existing airport land.
