Jammu & Kashmir State Power Development Corporation has invited EoIs for an engineering consultancy agency for implementation of the Sawalkote hydel-based power plant in the state.

EoIs have been invited for the engineering consultancy agency to render consultancy services for review of design, project management, and construction supervision for implementation of the 1,856 MW (8 x 225 MW + 1 x 56 MW) Sawalkote hydroelectric power project in the state.

The above services shall be rendered in two phases. Services under Phase-I envisage activities upto the signing of a contract between the owner and the construction contractor. Phase-II comprises pre-commencement works and main works. Phase-II will commence only after the successful conclusion of Phase-I within one month of signing of the construction contract.

At present, the detailed project report of the power plant is under the appraisal of the Central Electricity Authority (CEA).
