Essar Projects (EPL), has won a contract worth Rs 700 crore for the Kochi Refinery expansion project.
The company has received the Engineering Procurement Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) contract from Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) for the Coke Drum Structure Package (CDSP) of the Delayed Coker Unit (DCU) at the project. The scope of work includes project management, residual process design, detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and performance testing of the Coke Drum Structure Package (CDSP) of Delayed Coker Unit.
The Kochi Refinery project envisages expansion of the refinery from 9.5 million tpa to 15.5 million tpa as part of the Integrated Refinery Expansion Project (IREP) for which Engineers India (EIL) has been appointed as Project Management Consultant (PMC) for the project. The DCU has a capacity of 3.84 million tpa.
The entire project schedule is 27 months, including commissioning.
