GMR Londa Hydropower (GLHPPL) has submitted its proposal for Talong Londa Hydroelectric project in Arunachal Pradesh, to Central Electric Authority (CEA) for according concurrence.
The 3x75 MW HE project, to be executed by GMR Londa Hydro Power, will be constructed at an estimated total cost of Rs 2,172.88 crore. The total cost includes IDC & FC in addition to the total hard cost of Rs 1,743.07 crore but excludes escalation.
GMR Londa Hydropower is an SPV floated by GMR Energy and will implement the project under three phases. The run-of-the-river scheme is slated to start construction from October 2014 and is scheduled to be completed by 2019.
However, it appears that CEA's concurrence will be subject to compliance of certain conditions. Based on these, the project developer will have to incorporate suggestions of CWC (Central Water Commission) on hydrology, hydel civil design, etc, in the detailed design stage.
As a part of this, the project requires the necessary clearance from MoEF National Board of Wild Life and other relevant agencies.
Meanwhile, GMR has also proposed a levelised tariff of Rs 5.54/Kwh for its 225 MW Talong Londa HEP in Arunachal Pradesh.
