Lemken India Agro Equipment, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemken Gmbh, is likely to commission its manufacturing plant in Nagpur district of Maharashtra, soon.
The plant is coming up at an investment of Rs 120 crore and is being funded through 100 per cent equity from Germany. The plant will manufacture pre-harvesting equipment such as primary tillage, seed bed preparation implements, reversible plough, seed drills and sprayers which are used along with the tractors.
The plant is being built in two phases. In the Phase I the manufacturing capacity will be 3,000 units per annum while the overall capacity will be 5,000 units per annum. The Phase I will manufacture only reversible ploughs and the rest will be added in the Phase II by 2015.

Lemken India Agro Equipment, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemken Gmbh, has commissioned Phase I of its manufacturing plant at Butibori in Nagpur district of Maharashtra. The company has invested Rs 60 crore in the Phase I of the plant. It will make hydraulic reversible ploughs that can be used on tractors over 40 HP.
