The high powered coordination committee on industries of Goa has given clearances to eight projects.
The committee has approved the following projects with a total investment of around Rs 215.55 crore:
Dura-Line India, (Unit-II) HDPE - ducts and pipes manufacturing project worth Rs 59.45 crore at Sancoale industrial estate.
TCPL Packaging's expansion project at Kundaim Industrial estate. Glenmark Generics' expansion project entailing Rs 50 crore investment. This will increase the manufacturing capacity of tablets from 8,711.35 lakh per annum to 10,000 lakh per annum, and capsules from 1,569.54 lakh per annum to 3,000 lakh per annum. Borkar Packaging's printed paper boards, cartons and labels project in Margao industrial estate worth Rs 28 crore has also been cleared.
Macbrout Engineering's 1,00,000 per annum capacity was granted permission for regularisation. Its existing investment is Rs 32.56 crore. Approval was also received for regularisation of a project of Tata Consultancy Service with an existing investment of Rs 18.54 crore.
Two projects seeking registration were cleared by the Committee. These include Chowgule and Company's ship building unit in Vanxem, Loutolim with investment of Rs 28.46 crore. Another unit by the same company, located at Rassaim, Loutolim, with an investment of Rs 17 crore also received the nod.
