Goyal Salt, a specialised salt producer, is set to expand its market presence in India, focusing on the western and eastern regions of the country. This move comes as the company’s newly commissioned plant in Kutch stabilises its operations, marking a significant milestone in its long-term strategy to enhance its operational capabilities and support its growing customer base.
The company’s new Gandhidham plant, with a capacity of 4.50 lakh tonne and occupying 12 acres, is currently in its trial run stage. It is expected to begin full operations by the end of January. Currently, Goyal Salt collaborates with over 60 distributors across northern markets, with additional appointments in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Assam, and Orissa. As part of its future plans, Goyal Salt aims to extend its reach into southern states, further diversifying its market footprint.
The company, founded in 2010, operates a strategically located manufacturing facility in Nawa City, near the Sambhar Lake, one of India’s largest saltwater lakes. The company specialises in producing premium industrial and edible salts, including triple refined free-flow iodized salt, industrial salt, double-fortified salt, and triple refined half-dry salt. Its current production capacity is 700 tpd.
