The Greater Noida Authority has proposed various commercial and development projects in different sectors of Noida in Uttar Pradesh.
As per the proposed plan, the Noida Authority will construct five shopping malls, one each in sector 33, 35 and 50, and two in sector 50. The estimated cost for the project is still being finalised.
It has also been proposed to develop three multi-level parkings. The first will be constructed in sector 18 with an investment of Rs 200 crore. It will be a manual parking with a capacity to hold over 3,000 cars. Work has already started with completion scheduled for December 2015. The second parking unit will come up in sector 16A. It will be an underground parking with a capacity to house 1,000 cars. The authority has already obtained environmental clearances for this parking unit and work will commence in October 2013. Work on the third parking will start by February or March 2014 and the parking unit will accommodate 6,000 cars.
Greater Noida Authority is also planning to construct three underpasses with an investment of Rs 100 crore. One underpass will start from Fortis hospital in Noida and directly join NH-24. The second underpass will be made from Sarita Vihar to Samshaan ghat in sector 94-95. The third underpass will be at sector 31, 35, 39 and 51 crossing.
