Rapid Metro train in Gurgaon was flagged off on 14 November, 2013.
The 5.1 km stretch of Rapid Metro Rail was developed at an investment of Rs 2,100 crore by Rapid Metro Rail Gurgaon (RMGL).
The Rapid Metro connects cyber city, National Highway-8 and the existing Sikanderpur metro station on the Yellow Line of the Delhi Metro and mostly caters to those working in software companies and some residential areas as well. There are six stations en route, but only five of them have been opened for now.
The Rapid Metro also caters to a large number of residents of DLF Phase-III.
