HLL Lifecare (HLL), a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, has joined hands with the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) to set up a high-tech cancer hospital which will come up at Parel, in Mumbai.
The hospital will be constructed at a cost of 350 crore and will offer proton beam therapy.
On 9 July, both, HLL Lifecare (HLL) and Tata Memorial Centre signed an MoU to appoint HLL's infrastructure development division as the project management consultant.
The HLL-TMC project will include a cancer centre for women and children and a hadron beam facility, which aims to offer advanced and high precision proton therapy.
The hospital is expected to begin operations in early 2017.
