On 22 February 2014, Prithviraj Chavan, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, laid the foundation stone for Infosys campus to be set up in Nagpur city of Maharashtra.
The Nagpur Infosys campus will spread across 142 acre of land in the Multi-modal International Cargo Hub and Airport (MIHAN) in the city.
The campus will be developed in various phases, within two years. Phase-I of the project will be implemented at a cost of Rs 475 crore, which will be spread across 9.5 lakh sq ft area.
The campus will be designed by the architectural firm Morphogenesis and it will be developed as per the guidelines of Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA).
For development of the Nagpur campus, the software company is awaiting approvals from both, State and Centre.
The Maharashtra Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for the rail terminus to be constructed by Container Corporation of India for MIHAN.
