The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) is facing a setback in two of its projects -- railway overbridge (RoB) and elevated road.
Work at the railway overbridge (RoB) at Khirni Pathak has been stalled as the authority has yet to shift a temple which is hampering the construction work, and the project is still awaiting approval from the railway safety board to carry out construction over the tracks.
The Durgapura elevated road project is facing delay due to the Bisalpur pipeline. The company which was awarded the work cannot continue with digging in a small section as the Bisalpur pipeline is laid beneath the surface. JDA has approached the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) to shift the line.
The elevated road project, estimated to cost Rs 104 crore, was to be completed in 18 months since its commencement in April 2008. For some time, the work was off-and-on as the BRTS plan was revised due to the metro rail project.
