Japan Government is planning to invest in the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) project by 2016.
The Japan Government will invset $4.5 billion (approx Rs 23,400 crore) which will be financed by Japan Bank for International Cooperation as well as official development assistance loan. The $90 billion (approx Rs 480,600 crore) DMIC project is aimed at creating industrial infrastructure along the Delhi-Mumbai Rail Freight Corridor which will cover seven states totalling 1,483 km.
