Johnson and Johnson is planning to set up a new plant in Telangana, with an investment of Rs 400 crore.
This plant will come up at Penjerla village in Mahabubnagar district, which is about 60 km from Hyderabad. The project will be built on 40 acre of land and will become operational in 2016.
The plant will manufacture hygiene and consumer products and will furnish job opportunities for 1,500 people.
Another plant has come up in Vemula village in the same district. It has been set up by Cognet Glass, an affiliate of France-headquartered SGD Group.
The chief minister of the state will inaugurate both the plants.
