The Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation (KPTCL) has invited bids for a combined infrastructure package involving the establishment of 110/11kV substations and associated transmission lines across multiple taluks in Belagavi district.
The tender includes several key works worth Rs 120.09 crore, including Work A which involves the construction of a 110/11kV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) at Sadashiv Nagar and laying of a 0.355 km 110kV underground cable in Belagavi taluk. Work B includes a new substation at Muragod in Soundatti taluk, and further includes Work C at Kerur in Chikkodi taluk, Work D at Karada in Nippani taluk; and Work E at Pamaladinni in Gokak taluk. Additionally, Work F involves constructing a 12.544 km 110kV transmission line from Bhoj substation to Boragaon substation, along with a 110kV terminal bay setup in Nippani taluk.
The project aims to enhance the region’s power reliability, reduce transmission losses, and support industrial and rural electrification efforts. The bid submission closing date is 05 November, 2025.
