The government of Kerala has accorded approval to the proposal of Kerala Industrial and Technical Consultancy Organisation (KITCO’s) scheme to widen two road projects in the state.
Approval has been sanctioned for widening the 13 km stretch of the Tripunithura-Poothotta road to four lanes and widening the Vytilla-Kaniampuzha-Eroor road. The roads will thus have a width of 22 mtr and 10 mtr respectively. The projects are being developed by Public Works Department (PWD), Kerala.
Further, the owners who surrender land free of cost for Tripunithura-Poothotta road, will be given transfer of development rights (TDR). The land acquisition is expected to cost Rs 135 crore.
The state government has also decided to seek approval from the Centre for Mattakuzhi-Tiruvankulam-Kundanoor Tripunithura Bypass road.
