Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals (MRPL) will soon commission Phase-III of the expansion project in Karnataka.
Phase-III of the project is nearing completion except for the polypropylene unit. Till now the company has completed 99.27 per cent of the work.
The overall progress of the polypropylene project has reached 91.40 per cent, and is expected to be commissioned by FY15.
Besides, the required facilities like the Gas Turbine 1 and 2, along with the Heat Recovery Steam Generator, and one of the utility boilers of the co-generation power plant awarded to BHEL have been made operational.
The commissioning activity of the DCU and the PFCCU is likely to be completed and feed cut will be taken by the end of December 2013.
