The Punjab government has signed MoUs for 10 new investment proposals worth Rs 2,600 crore in the sectors of agriculture, food processing and bio mass renewable energy in the 'Agriculture Summit' held in the state.
The following MoUs were signed at the Agriculture Summit:

between the government of Netherlands, Punjab Agriculture University (PAU) and Confederation of Potato Seeds Farmers (POSCON) for establishing 'Centre of Potato Expertise' in Punjab

with P&R Agri Energy for setting up a biomass power plant with a capacity of 20 MW, at an approximate cost of Rs 125 crore

with Nextgen Solux Power for setting up a 100 MW solar power project at Fardikot and Abohar district, at an estimated cost of Rs 800 crore

with Sampuran Agri Ventures, for setting up 30 MW rice straw-based Biomethanation power projects worth Rs 400 crore

between Punjab government and Bio Echo Energy, in order to establish nine projects for producing bio-ethanol from rice straw and other agriculture waste and molasses, at a cost of Rs 900 crore

with MD Group for developing a model to solve the wheat and rice wastage

with Mrs Bector Food Specialties' to invest Rs 100 crore in the food processing sector

with KTC Foods, New Haryana Overseas, and Navjyoti Agro Food for Rs 20 crore each for setting up rice milling units with a capacity of 12 tonne per hour, 8-10 tonne per hour, and 12 tonne per hour, respectively
