All the six bidders in the race for
the privatization and modernisation project of the Mumbai and Delhi airports
will be referred to the empowered Group of Ministers for final selection, it is
learnt.
The e-GoM is likely to meet on 5
December 2005 to finalize one consortium each for the Mumbai and Delhi airport
projects. The project will be implemented through a joint venture formed with
the Airports Authority of India that will have a minority stake.
The technical consultant, Air Plan (of
Australia), has graded the six bidders and instead of shortlisting them, will
refer all of them to the eGoM.
