NHPC has invited bids for comprehensive environment impact studies of Bursar hydroelectric power project.
Bids have been invited for comprehensive environment impact assessment surveys and studies of Bursar hydroelectric project with dam at Pakal and power house at Lopara and Pakal in Kishtwar district of Jammu & Kashmir, on the basis of Terms of Reference (ToR), approved by the Ministry of Environment & Forests (MoEF).
The company is developing the Bursar hydroelectric project, with a total 1,020 MW capacity, in four phases. Each phase will entail a capacity of 255 MW. NHPC is investing Rs 4,378.19 crore. In October 2012, the project had received ToR from MoEF.
