NTPC Green Energy (NGEL) has announced the commercial operation of an additional 125 MW section of its solar project at Bhadla in Rajasthan.
This is part of the larger 500 MW solar park in Phalodi, which is being managed by NTPC Renewable Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NGEL. With this new capacity, NTPC Green's total installed commercial capacity has risen to 8,813.25 MW, marking a significant step in the company's renewable energy expansion. The project is considered a milestone in the phased development of Bhadla, one of India’s largest solar parks.
NTPC Green Energy’s push into renewable energy continues with rapid developments, including the commissioning of the first phase of a 1.2 GW solar project in Gujarat. This highlights the company’s accelerating pace in adding renewable capacity across India.
