NTPC is planning to construct two wind power projects; one in Maharashtra and the other in Karnataka.
The new wind power plant in both the states will have 40 MW capacity each.
For the purpose, the company has already invited bids for assisting it in developing these plants.
The scope of work will include detailed designing, engineering, manufacturing, supplying, testing, commissioning of the complete wind energy project including wind turbine generators, control panels, reactive power compensating devices and central monitoring and control system.
The bidder will also be responsible for the associated civil engineering works like WTG tower foundations, construction / strengthening of approach road, internal roads, office-cum-control room building, permanent water supply arrangements etc.
The selected bidder will also have to operate and maintain the projects for eight years including supplying all spare parts and consumables, replacing any defective equipment, taking appropriate insurance covers, and payment of charges levied by the state agencies etc.
