Tata Steel is yet to get allocation of iron ore mine for its proposed plant in Karnataka.
The company is awaiting allocation of iron ore mine that has at least 300 million tonne of reserves. It has identified around 2,400 acre in Karnataka. However, the company cannot commence work in the project unless it gets iron ore allocation.
The company intends to set up a six million tpa steel plant with Rs 30,000 crore investment in Haveri district of the state, in two phases.
