Apollo Hospitals' superspeciality hospital in Chennai will open the gates for the public by January 2013.
The 250-bed hospital at Ayanambakkam in suburban West Chennai has recently completed a baby birthing procedure. The project is coming up with an investment of Rs 125 crore. Initially, the hospital, which is waiting for equipment and a final finish, will be operationalised with 100 beds. It will open up with major specialities such as cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics and oncology will be added later.
Apollo Hospitals already operates three full-fledged super-speciality hospitals in Chennai, with a total of 1,100 beds. (Besides these, Apollo also runs smaller clinics and day-care centres in the city.)
