The Noida International Airport (NIA), located in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, is nearing its operational launch, as announced by Tata Projects, the infrastructure arm of the Tata Group.
The project, for which Tata Projects holds the construction contract, is in the final stages of regulatory approval. The company is working with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to secure safety, security, and aerodrome licenses. CEO Vinayak Pai confirmed that the construction work is largely completed, and the airport is now awaiting clearance for its official inauguration.
Tata Projects is also expanding its portfolio into emerging sectors such as semiconductor manufacturing, solar panels, and data centres, with a projected order book of Rs 40,000-43,000 crore.
