OnePlus, a leading global technology brand, has partnered with Optiemus Electronics (OEL) to locally manufacture and supply premium Internet of Things (IoT) devices in India. This collaboration reinforces OnePlus’ commitment to expanding domestic production under its long-term vision for the Indian market and aligns with its Project Starlight initiative aimed at deepening localisation.
As part of the strategic partnership, OnePlus has started manufacturing its IoT product portfolio—such as True Wireless Stereo (TWS)) products and wireless neckbands—at OEL’s Noida-based facility, adding to the existing smartphone production already underway in India. The brand’s IoT offerings are engineered to deliver cutting-edge performance across price segments, tailored to meet the diverse needs of Indian consumers. The collaboration has commenced with the local production of the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z3, a popular IoT neckband known for its ultra-low latency, immersive bass, and crisp audio clarity.
OEL will serve as a key manufacturing partner by increasing Bill of Materials (BOM) level localisation, reducing costs, and strengthening supply chain resilience. This initiative further aligns with India’s Make in India movement, boosting the local electronics manufacturing ecosystem
