Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC), is contemplating construction of an elevated corridor between CST-Kurla and Thane-Kalyan in Maharashtra.
The project is part of the infrastructure projects being executed by Central and Western Railway.
For this purpose, the corporation will soon submit the proposal to the railway board. Once submitted, the board will take at least three months to approve the proposal. Then, it will take at least a year to prepare a detailed project report. If approved, the 15 km elevated corridor will bypass the existing main line alignment between CST-Byculla-Dadar-Kurla.
