SFO Technologies, part of the NeST Group, plans to invest Rs 2,270 crore in setting up a plant in Theni district of Tamil Nadu.
The plant will focus on manufacturing printed circuit boards (PCBs) and other components essential for the electronics industry. The electronics manufacturing services company, based in Kochi, is expected to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Tamil Nadu government at the TN Rising Conclave in Madurai. PCBs, crucial in almost all modern electronic devices like smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches, will be a primary product at the plant.
Additionally, SFO Technologies is considering producing components such as composites, connectors, relays, and optical transceivers. A senior company executive highlighted the importance of the project, which aligns with growing demand in the electronics sector.
