The Santacruz-Chembur Link Road (SCLR) which will link Western Express Highway (WEH) and Eastern Express Highway (EEH) is likely to be opened very soon for public use in Mumbai.
The total length of the double-decker flyover is 6.45 km and is being developed at a cost of approximately Rs 435 crore.
The project will be developed in two phases. Phase-I starts from Mithi River to Eastern Express Highway and is being executed by Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC), while Phase-II commences from Western Express Highway to Mithi River, and has been undertaken by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM).
Phase-II also includes road-over-bridge (RoB) on the harbour line of Central Railway with a junction to main viaduct at first floor level for access to Nehru Nagar through the property of Kurla Dairy and L T Terminus arm as approach to L T Terminus Station of Central Railway.
