Tanfac Industries, a leading Indian chemical manufacturer, has successfully commissioned its 5,000 tonne per annum (TPA) solar grade dilute hydrofluoric acid (DHF) plant, marking a significant milestone for India’s solar energy sector. The plant’s output has been approved by one of the country's top solar energy producers, confirming that the DHF meets stringent industry standards.
This commissioning positions TANFAC as the first Indian chemical company to establish a solar-grade DHF facility—a key raw material used in solar photovoltaic manufacturing. The company is already progressing with the second phase of the project, which will double its capacity to 10,000 TPA within the next three months.
Tanfac is a joint sector company promoted by Anupam Rasayan India Ltd and Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO), known for its expertise in hydrofluoric acid and derivatives.
