Tata Power, through its subsidiary, Tata Power Renewable Energy, has commissioned its solar power plant at Palaswadi, in Satara district of Maharashtra.
The project, with 25 MW capacity, has been developed with an investment of Rs 250 crore. However, the project was completed in March 2014, but was not connected to the state grid due to non-availability of shutdown in existing lines and substations.
The power plant utilises Crystalline Silicon Photovoltaic Technology and is expected to generate approximately 46 million units per year. The power generated from this plant is evacuated through the state transmission network.
With the commissioning of this solar power plant, Tata Power now has a portfolio of over 56 MW of solar and 461 MW of wind.
