Tata Power is planning to develop a solar power plant near Satara in Maharashtra.
Tata Power intends to set up a 28.8 MW solar power unit with an estimated investment of Rs 230 crore. This unit, located near Satara, will be the second plant in Maharashtra. At present, Tata Power has a 3-MW solar power project operating at Mulshi in Pune district, and a 25-MW solar PV project at Mithapur in Gujarat.
Besides, a subsidiary of the company, Tata Power Delhi Distribution, has commissioned a 1 MW grid connected rooftop solar power plant in Delhi.
The company has also partnered with Australia-based Sunengy to build the first floating solar plant at Mulshi.
