Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) has issued a tender for building works under its lube modernisation and bottom upgradation (LMBU) Project at Mumbai Refinery, currently operating at 9.5 MMTPA post-MREP Phase-I.
The refinery produces lube oil base stock (LOBS) along with LPG, naphtha, kerosene, MS, ATF, diesel, and bitumen. The planned LMBU project is aimed at enhancing LOBS production capacity and upgrading existing refinery infrastructure. The broad scope of work involves execution of complete building works, including civil, structural, plumbing, HVAC, lift, electrical, and intelligent transport system (ITS) works, strictly as per construction drawings, standards, specifications, and contract provisions.
The package includes works for several new buildings to be executed inside the operational refinery premises, ensuring compliance with refinery safety and operational guidelines. Engineers India is the project consultant.
The closing date for bid submission is 22 September, 2025.
