The Uttar Pradesh State Bridge Corporation (UPSBC) has rolled out a Rs 23,086-crore infrastructure blueprint for Lucknow in FY 2025–26, proposing 49 new projects, including bridges, rail overbridges (ROBs), flyovers, cloverleaf interchanges, and underpasses.
Designed to handle rising traffic, the plan seeks to reduce travel time, ease congestion, and improve connectivity between road and rail systems. UPSBC will now move forward with administrative approvals, technical assessments, financial clearances, and tendering. The works will span constituencies such as East, West, North, Central, Sarojini Nagar, Malihabad, Mohanlalganj, and Bakshi Ka Talab.
Lucknow East has been allocated Rs 4,023.83 crore for five ROBs, a flyover, and elevated corridors. West will see 13 structures worth Rs 3,161.12 crore, including five ROBs and six flyovers. North has projects valued at Rs 3,398.35 crore, including an ROB and three flyovers. Central’s five projects include a flyover from Charbagh to Chachikuan Hanuman temple. Sarojini Nagar gets the highest outlay—Rs 11,400.76 crore, for 10 structures, including river bridges, ROBs, and a key flyover linking Telibagh to SGPGIMS.
