Walmart is planning to open 50 stores in India over the next five years.
Walmart, which already has 20 stores in the country, will set up these stores in Tier-I and II cities and not the metros.
The company has launched a B2B e-commerce model on a pilot basis at its stores in Lucknow and Hyderabad and has plans to roll it out at the remaining 18 stores, too.
Walmart recently infused Rs 623 crore into its Indian cash-and-carry operations.
