The Welspun Corp has commissioned the state-of-the-art coke oven plant through Welspun Metallics, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company at Anjar in Kachchh district of Gujarat.
This facility has a production capacity of approximately 2.10 lakh tonne per annum of coke which will primarily be used in the blast furnace to produce hot metal for manufacturing of pig Iron and ductile iron (DI) pipes.
This will help with continuous supply of high-quality coke at a competitive cost to run the plant efficiently.
In July 2022, company commissioned the blast furnace, sinter plant; and TMT bars manufacturing unit at Anjar through its wholly owned subsidiaries - Welspun DI Pipes and Anjar TMT Steel, respectively.
