Wheels India is set to start exporting tractor wheels from its new Rs 100 crore plant in Mambattu, near Chennai.
The plant, with an annual capacity of over one lakh tractor wheels, will target markets in Europe, the US, South America, and Korea. The company, a global leader in tractor wheel manufacturing, is known for producing wheels with unique sizes and designs for various applications, including small tillers, high-end tractors, and industrial and recreational vehicles.
In addition to exports, the plant will cater to the domestic market, holding a significant share in India’s tractor wheel segment. Last year, revenues from the tractors and construction equipment segment reached Rs 1,500 crore, and the company anticipates an additional Rs 500 crore revenue over the next five years from this growing sector.
